My fellow Americans,
I stand before you not as a politician, but as a witness—a witness to the two Americas that exist within this land. One America, where opportunity gleams like a skyscraper’s spire; another, where despair festers in the shadows of those very towers. I have lived in both.
I was once a child of the streets, trading scraps for survival, numbing hunger with choices I’d later regret. But this nation, in its flawed majesty, gave me a second act: a professor, a builder, a believer in the promise that no life is beyond redemption—and no nation is beyond repair.
Today, I ask you to join me in forging a New Covenant, one that honors our Constitution’s highest ideals while confronting its unmet promises. This is not a campaign of left or right, but of forward. Not a war on the past, but a reckoning—and a rebirth.
